WHĀNGĀRĀ MARAE

Whāngārā Marae is available to book by request for all beneficiaries, whānau, hapū, iwi, community groups and other organisations. The Reservation includes:

Waho Te Rangi and Whitireia (Ngā Wharenui), Te Hokowhitu Atu (Wharekai/Kitchen) and all facilities relating to the Pā.

You may enter the urupa if you have whanau buried, otherwise this section of the Pā is off limits. Please do not take photos of the tombstones and/or videos.
TANGIHANGA

As a marae, we hold space first and foremost for our people. From time to time, tangihanga may need to take place at short notice, and in these moments it will always take priority.
If this affects an existing booking, we will contact you as soon as possible and ensure a full refund is provided, with our sincere thanks for your understanding and aroha.
